Glass Art Festival
September 1 – 26, 2010
Sequim, Washington ‘Transcendence The Magic of Glass’
an exhibition of contemporary glass art that will both inspire and inform
Contemporary glass art from an array of local, regional, national and international artists, selected by a jurying committee, will be on display from September 1-25, 2010.
This juried exhibition is for artists working in any area of contemporary glass art including, but not limited to, blown, cast, fused, kiln-formed, torchworked, pate de verre, stained, mosaic, and sand-carved glass. Mixed media pieces were also included.
While glass art speaks for itself, we will give an added voice to the art with a special educational component intended to reveal, and enlighten the public about, all that is contemporary glass art. To this end, we have sought as wide a variety of glass art styles and techniques as possible. We were not disappointed in the response.
You are invited to attend the Artists’ Reception, 5-8PM during the Sequim Art Walk on Friday, September 3rd, at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 West Cedar Street, Sequim.
Awards totaling over $1000 will be presented in a variety of categories at 6PM. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet and mingle with many of the artists as well as the wonderful art supporters of our community.
The MAC Exhibit Center will be the hub of the activities of the Glass Art Festival, ensuring the maximum exposure for your art.
