Local glass artist Linda Steider will display her work and discuss her creative process on Saturday, March 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A co-founder of the Gorge chapter of the Oregon Glass Guild, Steider has been instrumental in promoting glass throughout the region. She finds inspiration in nature and her garden, creating unique and colorful kilnformed glass that is a delight to behold. The Mansion’s Museum Store carries her tree and rose form glass coasters and boxes.

“Behind the Scenes” tours will be offered Saturday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., noon, 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3 p.m. Visitors will explore areas usually closed to the public such as underground hallways, the original furnace room, and the Mansion’s vault. To take the tour and find out what is behind that door, visitors need to make pre-paid reservations.
